Timing...

Our flight leaves today at 2:50pm and we will arrive in Beijing at 4:30pm, Friday. Beijing is twelve hours ahead of Canada. With a thirteen hour flight, this means that we will essentially lose a day when we travel.

For the most part, our activities and adventures will take place while most of you are asleep every night!

Our very good friend, Lianne, has offered to help us with our blogging while we are away. There are times when Blogger does not work well in China. If this is the case, I will be emailing Lianne the text and pictures and she will then add them to the blog. As a result of the twelve hour time difference and the fact that Lianne most likely won't receive the posts until after she has left for work, you should notice new posts are added in the evenings. Most of the posts, therefore, will be about twenty-four hours behind our activities in China.

Stay tuned!

(Note from Lianne...Jan left this post for me to add to the blog after they were on their way. As I type this, they have been in the air for just over an hour. Both Jan and Paul could NOT WAIT to get on that plane and were so looking forward to having absolutely nothing to do for 13 hours. Bon voyage, friends!)
